Here’s what you need to know about Fishers construction this week.

Nickel Plate Trail | Installation of pedestrian rail is underway, but pedestrian flashers are currently not operative.

  • 106th Street & Cumberland Road | Eastbound 106th Street is now closed for utility work, with a projected reopening date of August 15, 2023.
  • I-465 & I-69 | Construction intensity has increased, focusing on the interchange reconfiguration at I-465 and I-69.
  • Florida Road | The road remains closed for the realignment of the S-curve, with only local traffic allowed between 113th Street and Southeastern Pky.
  • Fishers White River Park Survey | An open house event for the Fishers Greenways & Trails is scheduled for August 24.
    • Thursday, August 24 | 4 – 7 p.m.| Hub & Spoke (8100 E 106th Street, Ste. 260)

State Road 37 Improvement Project

A pre-construction phase at SR 37 & 141st Street is currently in place. More details and safety instructions for merging onto Northbound SR 37 from 141st Street are available.

Clear Path Improvement Project

Drivers will see an increase in construction along the I-69 corridor in the coming months. This work will focus on reconfiguring the interchange at I-465 and I-69. Binford Blvd. will also be reconstructed.

Nickel Plate Trail

The City of Fishers is working on the completion of the Fishers portion of the Nickel Plate Trail between Hague Road and 106th Street. The installation of pedestrian rail is currently taking place.

Projects North of 116th Street

Daily lane closures are currently on Cumberland Road, just south of 126th Street for sanitary and water line work. Phase 2A traffic restrictions are currently in place at 146th Street & Allisonville Road.

There are several ongoing projects including at 106th Street & Allisonville Road, 106th Street & Cumberland Road, 106th Street & Hoosier Road, 106th Street & Kincaid Drive, Fall Creek Road, Florida Road, and Geist Greenway.

2023 Resurfacing Project

ADA ramp and curb reconstruction is currently taking place in the Bristols. After ADA ramp and curb reconstruction, those areas will be restored with topsoil and seed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to water the seed for the seed to germinate.

Fishers White River Park Survey

The City of Fishers is seeking public input on the new Fishers White River Park and plans to develop a better-connected network of trails and greenways throughout Fishers.
