Fishers Motorcycle Accident Claims Life

A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Fishers motorcycle accident on July 22.

The incident, involving a sport bike and a 2008 Ford F350 truck, occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 116th Street and Spyglass Ridge Drive.

The truck was turning westbound onto 116th Street when the eastbound motorcycle collided. The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. 

The truck driver was unharmed and cooperated with the police at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.

Seeing the trend

This incident adds to a worrying trend of fatal motorcycle accidents in Fishers, especially on 116th Street. 

This is the 3rd in a 3-month span in Fishers alone.
