The Digest
Mudsock showdown đĽÂ
One big thing: The winner of tonightâs HSE vs. Fishers football game will take home the coveted Mudsock trophy.
Varsity teams have been battling for this trophy for seventeen years. If you have (or are) a senior at either of these schools, this has been going on for as long as youâve been around 𤣠The winner of tonightâs game will pass off or keep the trophy for another year. Hereâs the stats:
- HSE: 13
- Fishers: 3
- Ties: 1
The great golf wars
One big thing: Gray Eagle is building their version of Top Golf.
The Fishers Plan Commission voted unanimously to push the Gray Eagle Top Golf development to the City Council later this month. Hereâs whatâs coming:
- A new building & restaurant
- A barrier netting system
- New lighting system
Go deeper: The barrier netting system proposed would be 160 feet tall (half the size of the Statue of Liberty) with large nets and support poles. It wonât be as bright as Top Golf. Link to post here.
Library drama
Fishers took heat for a library decision it didn’t exactly make. That might change. Despite being a library that serves Fishers and Noblesville, the cities have no say in the board itself.
Why it matters: When the library moved The Fault in Our Stars, Fishers took the blame at a national level during the outrage. The cityâs reputation was dragged.
It would require a change in state law. Something Hamilton County officials seem willing to do*. It will have to wait until January for any change to be made.

Whatâs the good news?! Fishers Digest!! đ đŻ WTHR interviewed me and a few others on Pickleball in Fishers on their Good News segment. The headline was too good not to use. Fishers Digest IS the good news in Fishers.
Thanks!
