New Restaurants Coming to The Union at Fishers District
Kitchen Social and Niku Sushi.Kitchen.Bar are the latest additions to The Union at Fishers District, bringing polished casual international cuisine and upscale Japanese flavors to Fishers.
Thompson Thrift, the real estate developer behind many of the new projects in the Fishers District area, just locked in leases with two new-to-Indiana restaurants: Kitchen Social and Niku Sushi.Kitchen.Bar. These spots are set to open their doors at The Union at Fishers District in late 2026, alongside Piedra, Flavors of Mexico.
“We’re excited to have Kitchen Social and Niku join The Union at Fishers District,” said Ryan Menard, VP of development at Thompson Thrift. “Both restaurants offer experiences that align perfectly with our vision for this vibrant, mixed-use space.”
Kitchen Social brings a polished-casual dining experience with an international menu. Known for their from-scratch dishes like cheddar and scallion handmade biscuits, eggplant meatballs, shrimp tempura, and teriyaki ribeye, Kitchen Social will open its first Indiana location at The Union in a 4,500-square-foot space. With craft cocktails and wines from family wineries worldwide, this restaurant has already made a name for itself in other cities, being named Best New Eatery when it launched in Columbus.
Niku Sushi.Kitchen.Bar is coming from Prime Restaurant Group. This 6,000-square-foot spot will feature Japanese dishes with an “east meets west” twist, along with a full bar serving sake, wine, and craft cocktails. Niku takes inspiration from its sister concept in Dallas, Hush Sushi.Kitchen.Bar, combining creative presentations with modern Japanese cuisine.
