St. Patrick’s Day weekend is a blast in Indiana. Here’s everything you need to know.

Thursday kicks off the weekend with the greening of the canal at 5 pm. If you’ve never seen it — it’s exactly what it sounds like. 5 pm at Ohio Street Canal Basin.

Friday is the legendary parade and starting at 9:30 am, you can enter the official tent party. There will be live music, a beer garden, and food.

The parade steps off from North Street by the tents at 11:30 am and follows this route:

  • North Street 🔽 clockwise around Pennsylvania Street ⬅️ to Ohio Street 🔼 North on N Meridian Street 🔼 Breaks off at north and west on E Michigan Street
  • The march is 1.5 hours

Saturday is your day to walk or run off whatever happened on Friday. The Shamrock Run and Walk starts at 11 am at 748 Mass Avenue.

Any other info you need will be at Indianapolis Saint Patrick’s Day (indystpats.com)

The search is over 📚️

Patrick Mapes is now your 2024 HSE schools superintendent. Dr. Kegley was also promoted to deputy superintendent that night. Patrick Mapes has a long history in education in Indiana. Good luck sir, the future is in your hands 🍻

Who’s better?

In a rivalry as old as Fishers, HSE and Fishers’s basketball teams will face off tonight. The winner of tonight’s game is playing in the finals on Saturday. HSE is coming off of a 3-game losing streak, while Fishers is red hot with a 7-game winning streak. But when it comes to these types of rivalry games, anything goes.

Tickets here. Live results are on for today’s poll.

Polar Plunge 2024

The 25th Anniversary of Indiana’s chilliest tradition is tomorrow. The capstone jump is happening in Indianapolis at Eagle Creek Beach. If you missed the Wolfies Geist jump, here’s a refresher.

The 2024 Polar Plunge is an event by the Special Olympics of Indiana. It’s their yearly fundraiser to support training and competition opportunities for athletes all over the state.

Participating is easy — all signups are free. They ask you to fundraise at least $99 personally or as a team to do the jump. Following the jump there will be an After Splash Bash with music, food, and more.

Your support would mean the world to them, me, and athletes across the state who depend on this fundraiser to make it happen. Be brave and signup here.
