Southeast Fishers Annexation of Fortville Addresses

The City of Fishers is considering annexing parts of southeast Fishers that are Fortville addresses, but technically unincorporated Hamilton County. Here is what’s happening.

Editors Note, June 25 8:45 am: The area in red is within Hamilton County boundaries and while some addresses may have “Fortville” as the city name, this annexation does not include any parcels in Hancock County, where Fortville is located. Sorry for the confusion!

Fishers is in the early stages of trying to expand its jurisdiction, which might affect property taxes and landowners in the “Southeast Fishers Annexation” area (seen above). The annexation process is still in the early days, so nothing is set in stone yet, and it could take a while to happen.

The city is holding a bunch of public meetings to let people know about the annexation plans. They’ll talk about the new boundaries, city services, taxes, and answer any questions you might have. You can drop by any of these meetings to learn more and share your thoughts.
