The Digest
What’s the best American food in Fishers?
The answer might surprise you. To make this list, I had to come up with a unique Fishers Digest score. Here’s why:
You can get weird results if you sort a restaurant by its number of reviews or star counts. Imagine a restaurant with 5 stars but only 2 reviews. Heck, that might be the owner and their mom 😂 So without a weighted system, we’re not going to get an accurate list.
Here’s a more real example. Which would you rather eat at:
- A restaurant with 4.8 stars and 750 reviews
- A restaurant with 3.7 stars and 1400 reviews
I explain this further in the blog post, but you get the idea. So without further ado, here is the number 1 for Fishers:
🥇 Portillo’s Fishers
Who saw this coming?! This Chicago-born chain for hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and more, plus beer and wine in retro digs, is the #1 restaurant in Fishers. With over 6.3 thousand reviews and 4.3 stars, no other restaurant came close to their adjusted score.
- Weighted Score: 31.39
- Address: 9201 E 116th St, Fishers, IN 46037
- Menu: Portillo’s Fishers Menu
- Price: $

💵 Fishers Century Club
The Fishers Century Club is rallying men who want to make a difference in Fishers. It’s a fun process — each member brings $100 which goes towards a pool. Your $100 is a ticket to submit a charity you think the group should support. Then 3 are randomly chosen to get pitched to the group. The winning charity or organization gets the bag 💰 Last quarter, they raised $3,100 for the Youth Mentoring Initiative.
It’s a simple way to make a big impact and meet new people. I’ll be joining and you should too at their next quarterly meeting on March 26th at 5:30 pm @ The Club 9800 Crosspoint Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46256
Historic Run 🐅
For the first time ever, the Fishers Tigers Basketball team will play for the 2024 IHSAA 4A State Championship. They won that right with their back-to-back wins vs Crown Point and Fort Wayne on Saturday.
They will face the defending state champs, Ben Davis, who barely made it back to the stage with a 1-point 52-51 win.
State Finals: Saturday, March 30, 8:15 PM. Gainbridge Life Fieldhouse. Tickets will be sometime this week.

Wayback Burgers Coming Soon
How many burger places can you ask to make you a 9-patty burger without them thinking it’s a prank? I can name one.
Wayback Burger will compete in the “Better Burger” category (think Steak n Shake, Shake Shack, Five Guys). They will also offer chicken sandwiches and tenders, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, milkshakes, and a slightly wider range of sides than usual. Including fried pickles, mac and cheese bites, tots, and bacon cheese fries.
Based on their food permit application, they may open in the next few weeks. You’ll find them at 13588 Bent Grass Lane suite 101, Fishers, IN 46038
Nothing in this section is sponsored. It’s just something you should know.
